Bursa Archaeological Museum - Euro Park Hotel Bursa Tourism Guide
Bursa Archaeological Museum, one of the first archaeological museums in Turkey, was founded in 1904 within the Bursa High School for the Boys, in the name of Müze-i Hümayun (Imperial Museum). The archaeological artifacts, which had been being preserved in different places until 1972, were moved to the building constructed in Reşat Oyal Culture Park and opened to visitors after being arranged with a modern understanding. In the museum, different masterpieces such as the fossil remains of 15 million year-old and artifacts collected from ancient Bithynia and Mysia regions belonging to various periods until the end of the Byzantine Period are on display. Covering an area of 3500 m², the museum consists of an art gallery, ceramic-glass and metal works hall, coin and prehistoric works hall and stone works hall. The museum, which serves under the Ministry of Culture, is perhaps one of the rare places where you can combine your morning walk in the park with a cultural tour.
